NETWORK MONITORING ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Continuously analyse platform behaviour and give recommendation for improvements (system/infrastructure)
• Work on duty if needed
• Follow infrastructure sizing (capacity management) and raised to your technical lead
• Maintain security, backup and redundancy strategies
• Write and maintain custom scripts to lower the human intervention time on any tasks
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
• Write and maintain up-to-date technical documentation
• Liaise with R&D (PA) and/or product owner

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience
• Able to communicate clearly to customers
• Able to apply escalation process
• Self-learner in new system matters

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Good knowledge of company network architecture and of all product processes in interaction with system platform
• Good knowledge of Linux system administration, networking and troubleshooting
• Good knowledge of shell and python scripting languages
• Good knowledge on Icinga2 and/or Nagios monitoring tools
• Familiar with High available web application system architecture (load balancing, redundancy, caching )
• Experience in system and infrastructure management of production environment
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities (logs analysing , database querying)
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL database manipulation and administration (backup, replication, troubleshooting, SQL, PL/SQL)
• Knowledge of networking
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes (asset)
• Knowledge of ELK stack (asset)
