To help reaching its objectives, Alpha Networks is looking for new DevOps Engineers to join the R&D department as part of the platform team.

The team key responsibilities:
- Offer your expertise and support during the software architecture design sessions
- Deploy, upgrade, and operate Kubernetes clusters ranging from a few to a few hundreds of nodes
- Investigate… or build, benchmark, and evangelise new technologies (infra, software, databases, K8S Operators, tools, …) to be used by developer teams to build an alwaysimproving product
- Setup and maintain large cloud networks & interconnections in all Alpha Networks presence zones (all continents, multiple cloud providers)
- Setup and maintain internal infrastructure, tooling, and office networks
- Define, implement, and test disaster recovery strategies for all of Alpha Networks services and dependencies
- Ensure all our infrastructures can scale in real-time to react to peaks of activity such as during sport competitions, breaking news, etc…
- Define and implement general security and SIEM policies
Your profile:
- Master in computer science or equivalent by experience.
- Basic knowledge of Linux (you’re not afraid of a terminal and know of to exit vi)
- Experience with some cloud tools & platforms such as AWS, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Rancher, Terraform, GitOps, S3, …
- Basic knowledge of networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP vs UDP, NAT, …) > Knowledge of VLAN, BGP, IPSEC, VRRP, IPVS, routing, … is a plus
- Experience with databases such as Postgresql and Elasticsearch is a plus
- Basic experience with Git would be cool (we ♥ Gitlab & Gitlab-CI)
- You’re fluent in French and can sustain a day-to-day conversation in English
