Bouygues Telecom boosts its catch-up service on all devices thanks to Alpha Networks

March 17, 2022 – BRAINE L’ALLEUD, BELGIUM

Bouygues Telecom, one of the four French global communications operators – part of Bouygues group, is relying on Alpha Networks to extend and enrich the catch-up service on its and + applications available on mobiles, tablets and Samsung Smart TVs.

The service has been launched in September 2020 and today Bouygues Telecom’s clients can enjoy greater flexibility by accessing catch-up from more than 40 channels.

Bouygues Telecom already benefited from Alpha Networks expertise for its catch-up service on IPTV. Extending the service to all devices is the ultimate step in a process aimed at ensuring increased UX to all Bouygues Telecom’s subscribers.

We definitely appreciate the value of Alpha Networks’ products. Awarding our subscribers with the latest functionalities and trends, like catch-up, is fundamental to keep them engaged. At Bouygues Telecom we were looking for a complete solution that could enable us to aggregate different types of content coming from over 40 channels and make them available on replay for all our end-users on multiple devices. Besides, implementing catch-up content monetization was a requirement

Eric Laurent, TV Content, Services and Fixed Products Marketing Director at Bouygues Telecom

Alpha Networks offering consists in a convergent and hybrid platform managing metadata, video content aggregation and distribution through a consistent number of channels for OTT.

Tucano, the modular video software, offers the possibility to aggregate, package & secure and distribute content thanks to the flowless cooperation and integration of the technology partners operating in the ecosystem, including Irdeto and Harmonic, working respectively on the DRM and video workflow for Bouygues Telecom’s and + applications.

At Alpha Networks we are very proud of the long-lasting business relationship with Bouygues Telecom. They have been relying on us for more than 10 years now, demonstrating that the quality of our products and services is trustworthy.

Our offering was perfectly matching Bouygues Telecom’s challenges of a convergent platform to be launched with short time-to-market and including a smart solution for the editorialization of channels categories and catch-up content monetization with pre-roll advertising. We always strive for excellence and flexibility, so that our products can innovate overtime and adapt to the needs of our customers and entertainment habits of the end-users
